Fort de nombreuses illustrations, il détaille les caractéristiques techniques des canons utilisés par l’armée allemande entre 1939 et 1945 dans ses principales batailles mais aussi sur le Mur de l’Atlantique en Europe.

Modern conditions have tended to link together more closely the spheres of Anti-Aircraft, Coastal and Railvay Artillery.
It 1s proposed to deal with these three types, in that order, in this second and final part of the volume.
Two factors have led to this closer linking of the three types of artillery, viz:-
The interweaving of coastal and air defence against combined operations attack.
The tendency to favour mobile coastal artillery, thus bringing railway artillery into the coastal artillery role.
